Hello, world!
Performance review season is upon us, and for many—including me—it’s a time of reflection, anticipation, and sometimes, anxiety. If you’ve recently transitioned to a new boss, as I have, you might be feeling an extra layer of pressure. What if they don’t fully recognize my capabilities? What if they don’t value my contributions the way my previous boss did? These are my valid concerns, especially since I’ve been assigned less complex tasks since the transition.
I’m hoping to use this upcoming performance review as an opportunity to build rapport and establish trust. I plan to be open to feedback, ask thoughtful and relevant questions, and demonstrate my continued commitment to the team’s vision and priorities.
Change is never easy, especially when adjusting to a new boss. But I’m approaching this with optimism and looking forward to the performance assessment conversation.
